What better way to spend my last few days in Alabama, than going up to New York for work! Made some pretty easy money and got several good shot, but now I have to deal with the fact that I'm leaving Monday and I still don't have anything packed! Ah well, I'm a professional procrastinator, it's just what I do.

Now this first one has nothing to do with New York except that we drive by it on the way. It's become one of those landmarks that I get a shot of everytime I pass it. I think this was one of my better ones...



Now, back to Manhattan...













And of course, some skating at the Brooklyn Banks.





Then it's back to Jersey to get the truck and start the journey home at around 2:00 am. Not a bad last job with the moving company, that's for sure!





So long work!!!

Lots of work lately, which means there's just about no time to get out and take shots, but here's a few anyway.







Now it's time to get the Honda ready to sell...

Friday morning, Ziggy, me and the Howard boys took 2 twenty six foot moving trucks packed to the brim with someones house and 4 two and a half foot planks of wood constructed with 7 individual layers of pressure treated maple up to Louisville Kentucky, the only city in North America that has the balls to sink 2 million dollars into a concrete skatepark, keep it open and lit 24 hours a day, require no pads or helmets, and still keep the admission fee at a wopping $0. Way to go Kentucky!

Unfortunately, the caliber of athletes at the park was no match to what I had witnessed just the previous night in Alabaster, so the amount of huge tricks I was able to capture with my camera went from a several dozen to zero. Josh did manage to pull off a blunt, rock to fakie in the bowl though, which is pretty impressive considering the fact that Josh doesn't skate anymore... Quitter.



got a tip from a local skateshop that there were concrete waves behind a water treatment plant as well as a street that had as many pubs as traffic lights, and there were a lot of traffic lights!







Kentucky was a blast! Thank you Louisville for the great skating, tasty beer and wonderful people! I feel as if I left my mark on the city, and I know the city left it's mark on me in the form of a rolled ankle and a football sized bruise on my hip! Till we meet again, Louisville, cheers to you!

Headed out for a skate today only to find out that the Alien Workshop team was in town doing a demo at Veterans park. Finally got to play around with the new flash. Starting to get the hang of it...









Going up to Louisville, Kentucky tomorrow, home of the biggest concrete skatepark in the east! Should be seeing some more skating shots real soon...

Over the past two weeks, I successfully managed to disconnect myself form the world and avoid any internet correspondence, and I must say it was easier than I thought! The fact that I had no say in when the internet would be turned back on played a large role in my success, but I still feel as if I've accomplished something worthy of being mentioned.

With the net working again and that whole charade well in the past, I find myself eager to blog but not so enthused with giving back stories and structure to each photo, so with no further ado, I give you a collage of memories...

... and that should have us all caught up, so sleep well children, for with tomorrow comes another chance to manifest a glorifying sense of reality, and then capture that glory through a 17-55mm lens.

Awesome day today! Hung out with Ziggy and and an army of 'little dudes'. Even got to witness one of em land their first kickflip!









And yes, the big dudes got to skate a little bit too.

Seems to be the week to run into old friends. Here's a few from skating last night with good ol' Gabe!

Found out today that the skatepark in Alabaster only charges $1 to get in on the weekdays! Throw in another dollar for helmet rental and it's still 2 cents cheaper than my daily Starbucks fee.

No matter how often I see it, I'm always amazed at just how willing these little kids are to throw themselves down huge gaps, carve 10 foot bowls and flip in-flip out of rail tricks! I do my fair share of provoking from behind the camera though. The shot's not gonna be good if they don't go big though!

At 28 years of age, I'm starting to think about the outcome of tricks a little bit more. Falling actually hurts now, and knowing just how quickly everything can go horribly wrong doesn't really motivate me push myself to much anymore, but this guy today taught me how to say 'fuck it' all over again. 49 years old and still airing out of a bowl a bone-breaking 10 feet above the concrete floor... Props to this guy!

And he still falls with such grace! Notice his shoes... I can respect anyone who chooses duct tape over laces.

Caught the sunset and the daily 10 minutes of 'golden lighting' at the Tip Top Grill in Bluff Park and got some interesting reflection shots off my car.

Ended the day at my second home with Josh Dave and Liz. Killed time by strapping headlamps to appendages and jumping around on the trampoline. It started off pretty simple, then the exposures got longer and the bouncing got downright crazy!
