Been spending the last few nights downtown climbing up on buildings, trying to find good angles of Birmingham. Here's what I got so far...

Managed to get myself into a parking deck I probably had no business being in, but I find those to be more enticing, none the less.

Finally have a chance to stay out for a while and explore all my options tonight. Just hope the rain holds out for an evening!

Here's a few shots from the past couple of days. Nothing to exciting, except the fact that I got a trumpet off the last move I had! Need to go ahead and invest in a mute so I don't upset my roommates, then again... If I play and play and play, day in and day out, they might go ahead and invest in one for me! Most brilliant idea of the day! I'll be a millionaire in no time if I keep this train of thoughts up!

Here's a few more 'fading into darknesss' shots from first ave. Loving this flash! Thanks again Jeff!

And I leave you today with this shot of an absent-minded truck driver who managed to get himself stuck in the wet grass. Cheers!

Grand Opening of First Ave Rocks last night. Didn't get off work till late, so I missed out on the comp, but I was right on time for the after party!

October 18th is right around the corner, and although I'm twiddling my thumbs in anxiety just waiting to head out of here, I find myself trying so hard to get in as much of this city as I can before leaving again. Here's a few that I'm more or less posting for myself, for when the roads get lonely and home seems so far away.

And now, here's your moment of zen...

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

So today's adventure lead my designated driver, Waylin, and I up to Muscle Shoals to carry large, heavy furniture up several flights of stairs, into an 85 degree apartment for a young couple who was to unappreciative to even shake our hands after all was said and done. It was okay though, seeing as I clocked alot of hours for sitting in a truck, and was able to get some 'good shots' (whatever those are) of Waylin and weeds. I think the weeds were prettier.

Then the sunlight came shining through the trees and after a little tinkering with my settings it became official, Waylin was the ugliest subject matter I shot today! Sorry Waylin, but you ugly!

Off day tomorrow! can't wait to see what I manage to get myself into...
